Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) ISAT Entrance Exam:
IIST Entrance Exam 2012
Admissions to the undergraduate Engineering programme (B.Tech) at IIST for the year 2012 will be made through an All India Admission Test (ISAT Admission Test). Brief information about IIST entrance exam 2012 is given below.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must make sure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing in IIST Entrance Exam 2012:
·         1.Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible to write ISAT entrance exam.
·         2.Date of Birth: The date of birth of candidates belonging to GEN, OBC categories should be on or after October 1, 1987, while the date of birth of those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories should be on or after October 1, 1982.
·         3.Year of passing Qualifying Examination (QE): A candidate must have passed the QE (10 + 2) for the first time, in the calendar year 2011 or 2012. Those who are going to appear in the QE after July, 2012 or expecting the results of QE later than July, 2012 are not eligible to apply for IIST entrance exam 2012.
·         4.Minimum Percentage of Marks in Class X or equivalent examination: Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure at least 70% aggregate marks in their Class X or equivalent examination, while, those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in their Class X or equivalent examination are eligible for ISAT admission Test.
·         5. Minimum Percentage of Marks in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination: Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure at least 70% aggregate marks in their Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) papers in their QE, while those belonging to SC,ST and PD categories must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their PCM papers in their QE.
·         6. Reservation of seats: Candidates As per Government of India regulations, candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:
·         Scheduled Castes (SC).
·         Scheduled Tribes (ST).
·         Other Backward Castes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL).
·         Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.

How to Apply For IIST 2012 Admission Test?
Candidates can apply on-line only. The on-line application form is available from 10:00 AM on 1st November 2011 to 11:30 PM on 31st December 2011 at the IIST website. Candidates will be guided at this stage about how to complete the application process, remit examination fee etc.
